Gerald works directly with all ongoing development and consulting projects. After studying economics at the University of Tennessee, Gerald went to work in the commercial real estate and development field, which eventually led him into securities and financial markets. Through the various city boards and commissions that he has served on, Gerald has gained valuable experience in the inner workings of municipal governance. In addition, Gerald has developed thorough construction knowledge through his association with a regional lumber company and his strong partnerships with construction firms. Gerald has been involved with multi-family and senior development, specializing in the use of Low Income Housing Tax Credits and agency backed financing. Furthermore, Haan has been active in national brand hotel development, assisted care facilities, and other commercial enterprises.
Lacy is responsible for all accounting functions for the company and provides support service for the application, financing, and development phases of company projects. She manages construction draw funding paperwork, loan application, due diligence, and oversees the NLR accounting team. Lacy holds a degree in Accounting and is a Certified Credit Compliance Professional.
Kathy provides several vital functions for our company, including sales and marketing, design-development and implementation, and construction oversight. She holds a degree from Western Michigan University in Industrial Design Engineering and has 12 years experience in commercial design.
Ben is responsible for new project development. He researches potential opportunities for feasibility and builds the financial plans to warrant a successful project. Prior to joining the company, Ben served as a Housing Development Officer for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Ben holds a degree in Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and is a certified Housing Development Finance Professional.
Assistant Development Coordinator
Andrew holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Andrew’s knowledge assists the company in development activities, market research, sales and marketing, construction oversight, and asset management.
Erin works closely with on-site managers and is responsible for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as assists in the budgeting activities for the properties in our NLR portfolio. She is currently working towards a degree in accounting through North Central Michigan College.
Cheri holds a degree in Banking and Finance from Fayetteville College in North Carolina and has a certificate in Accounting from Lakeland College in Ohio. Cheri works closely with on-site managers and is responsible for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable for the properties in our NLR portfolio. Cheri served in the Army as a Finance Pay Specialist.
NLR Property Management Regional Manager
Kerrey has over 17 years of experience in affordable and multi-family housing management. She has held positions as On-Site Manager, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Section 42 Compliance Coordinator and District Manager with professional management companies in Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, South Dakota and Washington. Kerrey’s roll in NLR Property Management involves the oversight of G.A. Haan Development’s western property portfolio. Kerry has received extensive training in Fair Housing, Crime Free multi-family housing and has earned the designation of Certified Credit Compliance Professional (C3P) from Spectrum.
Kim provides support to executive staff and ensures day-to-day office functions run effectively. Kim holds a degree in Business Administration from Davenport University and has over ten years experience serving in this capacity.
