Mayor and Developer cut the ribbon on Lander’s new Blue Ridge Apartments

(Lander, Wyo.) – Mayor Mick Wolfe on Thursday evening cut the ribbon on the recently completed affordable housing project, Blue Ridge Apartments.

Andrew Schorfhaar of G.A. Haan Development and NLR Property Management told the small gathered crowd that the 40-unit complex took about one year to complete. The development of the project shared with the City of Lander a grant for water and sewer infrastructure improvements in the area.

Schorfhaar said the 2- and 3-bedroom units began being filled in late November. As of yesterday, about 60 percent of the apartments were filled.

Renting the apartments depends on a person’s income bracket, with only people making a certain percentage of the area median income allowed to participate. Those above
and below certain income levels are not accepted.

The project was funded in large part due to a Low Income Housing tax credit.
